Bookkeeper / Tax Preparer

Vaco is partnering with a well-established and growing CPA firm in Phoenix to hire a Bookkeeper / Tax Preparer. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for an accounting professional who excels in a collaborative, client-focused environment and is seeking long-term career stability. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $55,000 to $70,000, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities :

• Importing bank feeds, recording journal entries, and reconciling financial accounts

Posting deposits and preparing after-the-fact payroll along with quarterly and annual payroll reports

Preparing and filing Transaction Privilege Tax (TPT) reports

Collaborating with team members on accounting and tax review processes

Supporting tax planning initiatives for clients

Communicating regularly with clients, including meetings and follow-up correspondence

Preparing individual and corporate income tax returns

Overseeing the review and quality control of completed work to ensure accuracy and compliance

Managing multiple projects independently and efficiently

Providing clients with timely, accurate financial and tax information Qualifications :

Experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and full-cycle bookkeeping, as well as tax preparation for small businesses and / or individual clients. Preferred Experience :

Small CPA firm experience
