We are looking for a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper in St. Petersburg, Florida. This role is ideal for someone with strong bookkeeping experience who thrives on managing financial records and ensuring accuracy. The position involves handling payroll, reconciling accounts, and supporting tax return preparation for a variety of clients.

Responsibilities :

  • Process payroll for small businesses using a proprietary system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Reconcile client bank statements and QuickBooks General Ledger to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Perform extensive data entry, including recording receipts and transactions for client accounts.
  • Assist with the preparation of business tax returns and provide support during tax filing periods.
  • Generate financial statements at month-end or quarter-end and address any client inquiries regarding transactions or discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized financial documentation for clients and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients to resolve any financial record issues or discrepancies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to support client decision-making.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in full charge bookkeeping.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks for managing accounts and reconciliations.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes and systems.
  • Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Ability to reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate general ledger records.
  • Experience with data entry and handling financial transactions.
  • Willingness to learn and assist with business tax return preparation.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
