Your Opportunity

Stantec's New York City office is seeking a Bridge Engineer to support engineering teams on large infrastructure design projects and pursuits. The Bridge Engineer will work under direct supervision of a Bridge Design Manager or Senior Structural Engineer to assist on design of projects such as bridges, highway interchanges, roadway reconstruction, railroad bridge infrastructure and public spaces. Your Key Responsibilities

• Develop project design deliverables including design criteria, contract design documents, design specifications, quantities and related calculations for various design projects under Design / Build and Design / Bid / Build environments.
• Perform calculations independently using relevant bridge analysis and design software.
• Assist in resolving complex technical problems and exercise independent decision making.
• Perform construction phase services on behalf of the Designer of Record.
• Mentor and monitor work by Structural Designers.
• Assist with client coordination including coordinating deliveries, submittals, meetings, review comments etc.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations on various pursuits, including large Design / Build and Design / Bid / Build pursuits within the New York City Metropolitan area.

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
