About the Role

Our client, a renowned international engineering firm headquartered in New York City, is seeking a skilled Bridge Inspector to join their team. This role offers a mix of flexibility and travel, with remote work available when not on-site for inspections. As a Bridge Inspector, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and compliance of bridges across the tristate area, driving high-impact projects with precision and expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection Execution : Plan, schedule, and conduct thorough inspections of bridges and related structures, adhering to guidelines from agencies like FHWA and AASHTO while maintaining safety and efficiency.
Reporting : Prepare detailed inspection reports, document structural deficiencies, and recommend necessary repairs.
Collaboration : Work closely with clients, contractors, and government agencies to ensure seamless project execution.
Innovation : Stay up-to-date with industry advancements, regulations, and cutting-edge inspection methodologies.

Qualifications

Education : Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Masters preferred).

Licensure : P.E. License required (NY preferred).

Experience : 1-5+ years in bridge inspection or structural evaluation.

Certification : NBIS Certification preferred.

Technical Skills : Strong proficiency in inspection tools and software (e.g., BrIM, Bentley).

Soft Skills : Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.

Preferred Knowledge : Familiarity with state and local agencies is a plus.

Field Readiness : Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.
