Job Duties
The Department of Labor and Industry (DOLI) is seeking two highly motivated and skilled professionals to work as a Boiler Compliance Safety Officer in the Division of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety. The office locations of these positions will be determined based on Agency need and preference.
The Division of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety protects human life, property, and infrastructure by seeking compliance with the Virginia Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety Act and regulations regarding the installation, certification, safe operation, maintenance, and repairs of industrial boilers and pressure vessels.
The Boiler Compliance Safety Officer is responsible for conducting quality assurance and auditing of inspection reports, providing compliance assistance to the regulated community, performing selective inspection of boilers and pressure vessels, and investigating and initiating the enforcement of violations as warranted.

The salary range for this position will vary based on the experience level of the selected candidate, commensurate with experience, plus the State's benefits package.
Apprentice : $51,884
Journeyman : $62,732
