Essential Responsibilities
The Bus Acquisitions Manager, under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, is responsible for the procurement of transit vehicles that are purchased in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
Specific Responsibilities
- Work with management to identify current inventory needs
- Manages list of desired vehicles the company wants to purchase
- Maintains fleet inventory log; ensures information is current and up to date
- Utilizes all available resources to identify and engage vendors of transit vehicles
- Build and maintain effective relationships with vendors to better meet bidding and acquisition requirements
- Maintains and updates vendor database
- Obtain and provide all necessary documentation for purchases
- Maintains accurate bus inventory / integration logs, auction paperwork, etc
- Conduct accurate vehicle assessments by collecting and recording all required information for appraisal
- Inspect and accept vehicles for purchase; add to inventory
- Additional cross-functional duties as needed
