Job description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operate vehicles in safe and professional manner on public roads and job site.
  • Perform daily pre / post trip inspections with documentation in compliance with company and DOT guidelines.
  • Check fluid levels, tires, lights, and other control for safe operation.
  • Properly follow all company policies and procedures for safe working environment.
  • Obey applicable laws and follow dispatch instructions.
  • Must keep vehicle in clean and orderly condition.
  • Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid current DOT Med Cert and / or able to secure a new DOT Med Cert card.
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Must be able to communicate with others to convey information effectively, bilingual candidates are preferred.
  • Must be able to pass drug test.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers with other duties as instructed.
  • Must maintain current driver’s license that meets state requirements, CDL ,Class A or B driver license along with passenger endorsement.
  • Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment [PPE] in designated operations and production areas as stated in hand book.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Must be knowledgeable of safety procedures and practices.
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Must be dependable and reliable.
  • Thorough operational knowledge and skills of trucks and related equipment to be operated.
  • Ability to operate equipment safely under a variety of conditions.

    • Work Environment

  • Must be accustomed to working outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions

    • Physical Demands

  • Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
  • May require sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Able to climb in and out of trucks [3-4 steps]

    • Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

    Must be able to work 40 plus hours a week, Working 6 days a week, and some night work and weekends.
