Title: Systems Administrator
POSITION SUMMARY
The Systems Administrator is responsible for the installation and maintenance of all computer and server-based systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Installs and maintains all operating systems, utilities, compilers and network software on all computer/server platforms. Manages and supports the DNS, DHCP and all Windows Active Directory Schema and Infrastructure across all College domains. Manages, installs and supports all imaging document systems and applications. Works collaboratively with faculty to support the academic computing environment.
Manages disk storage on all platforms. Provides technical support to faculty and staff. Establishes standards for accounts. Adds accounts when approved. Monitors systems performance and adjusts system parameters as necessary. Monitors system usage for unauthorized access attempts and reports violations to senior management in the department. Works collaboratively with computer technicians in the planning, distribution and installation of all software components and network infrastructure. Manages, supports and maintains Windows-based Web Servers. Manages, maintains and supports vCenter, virtual machines and virtual infrastructure.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related field
2 years’ experience managing Windows Servers and VMware
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
4 years’ experience managing Windows Servers and VMware
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of data processing and network concepts and hardware and software architecture. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, faculty, staff and students.

Rate of Pay: $53,420.00 to $66,774.00 annually, depending on experience
