The Safety Administrator is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and management of safety and health programs to ensure compliance with company policies, federal, state, and local regulations. This role plays a key part in fostering a safe working environment, maintaining documentation, and providing administrative support to the safety team.
Responsibilities
Maintain safety-related documentation, including training records, incident reports, hazard assessments, and safety meeting minutes.
Manage Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS / SDS) and ensure accessibility for employees.
Coordinate the distribution of safety bulletins, newsletters, and announcements.
Provide administrative support for toolbox talks, safety meetings, and safety committee activities.
Maintain records of equipment inspections and certifications.
Qualifications
Minimum 1-3 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in safety or a related field.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with safety management software.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
