COLSA is seeking a Business Analyst to support projects for the Missile and Space Intelligence Center (MSIC) in Huntsville, Alabama. In this role, you'll bridge business needs and technical execution through clear, comprehensive documentation and analysis ensuring all requirements are well-defined, traceable, and actionable. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to write & translate complex information into clear deliverables that guide development and decision-making.

This role is 100% on-site

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (

• Essential functions)

Collaborate with Product Owners, stakeholders, and Scrum teams to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements.

Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.

Ensure clarity, completeness, and accessibility of product documentation.

Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and daily Scrum meetings.

Ensure requirements are understood by development and QA teams for successful delivery.

Support the Product Owner in managing the product backlog and maintaining the product roadmap.

Facilitate effective communication between business stakeholders and technical teams.

Conduct data analysis and research to provide insights and recommendations for business improvements.

Participate in sprint reviews and retrospectives to continuously improve processes and outcomes.

Required SkillsRequired Experience

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree a plus).

Minimum of 7 years of related experience with at least 2 years as a Business Analyst, preferably in an Agile / Scum environment

Proficiency with desktop applications and search tools

Strong understanding of Agile / Scrum principles.

Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, GIT Ultimate or similar platforms.

Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Strong written communication skills, capable of creating accurate, detailed, and mission-relevant documentation to support technical and analytical initiatives

U.S. Citizenship required; must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

Top Secret security clearance

Certifications :

Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar is a plus

Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent preferred.
