Job Details Level Experienced Job Location St John Towers - Augusta, GA Position Type Full Time Education Level Associate Degree Salary Range $17.85 - $24.98 Hourly Travel Percentage None Job Shift Day Job Category Admin - Clerical Description Hours : Monday-Thursday, 8 : 30 am to 5 : 00 pm Position Summary Under the direct supervision of the community administrator or assigned designee, the Business Services Coordinator will maintain all resident billing records, generate statements of accounts due. Key Responsibilities In collaboration with the admissions department, set up initial resident accounts. On a monthly basis, post all charges to individual accounts. On a monthly basis, review the status of all resident accounts with the community Administrator and Manager; provide input into reimbursement schedules; delinquency of accounts etc. Establish and maintain positives rapport with residents and families; respond to questions related to questions related to account status. Demonstrate professional work behavior by following guidelines as established in the Wesley Homes, Inc. policies and procedures manual. Tracks all account / payment activity. Prepares adjustments to accounts receivable for payments received. On a monthly basis, provides established information to Information Systems for processing. Process refunds for residents who have moved from the community. Provides general office support; provides telephone and receptionist coverage as needed / requested; distributes employee mail; answers questions from residents, families and / or visitors. Complete and submit certification, recertification and housing assistance vouchers and other necessary report materials according to HUD regulations, including HAP requests, excess income reports. Efficient operation of the HUD Manager / Trace Program. Respond to resident emergencies when needed. Verify and distribute monthly rent statements. Maintain section 8 year-to-date income and expenses for a 5-year contract. Complete other duties as requested by Manager or community Administrator. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Ability to read, understand, communicate English language both orally and in writing. Good interpersonal skills including the ability to manage problems with sensitivity to the situation. Ability to communicate with others by telephone. Ability to perform duties and responsibilities promptly and consistently with little direct supervision in planning and organizing of work. Ability to judge the appropriate action in response to changes, circumstances, or problems. Associate degree in business or accounting / Finance. Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum two years' experience with the Medicare / Medicaid billing process. Basic P.C. skills including at least two years' experience with automated billing systems software, word processing and spreadsheet (preferably EXCEL) software.
