Job descriptionFinancial or insurance industry experience required Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or equivalent work experience 8+ years of business analysis experience Strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills including facilitation and presentation Proven ability to elicit and document requirements in a clear and concise manner Advanced skills in developing test plans, test cases, and test execution. Technical skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Jira (or similar tool), and ability to write basic to moderately complex SQL queries Ability to communicate to all levels in an organization, strong problem-solving skills, adaptable, flexible, proactive and willing to take ownership Experience on a variety of simple to complex projects Experience with agile
We have an opening for a Sr Business Analyst in the West Des Moines, IA area (hybrid 1-2 days / week in West Des Moines and looking for local candidates only). Please do not apply if you are not local to the West Des Moines area. No sponsorship available.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Elicits and documents requirements through user stories, use cases, process flow diagrams, etc.
- Collaborates and builds trusted relationships with business units, development teams, and other stakeholders to gather, analyze and prioritize requests.
- Ensures complex requirements are executable, testable, complete and not ambiguous.
- Provides guidance and coordinate with the Quality Assurance Team to determine test objectives and target date planning.
- Defines, plans, and executes testing based on tasks assigned, as needed.
