This role helps to achieve long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates, and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions. The business developer manages the sales pipeline from prospecting to closing and is responsible for full cycle landscape and, depending on region, snow sales. The business developer collaborates and works with partners including operations, finance, marketing, and more to manage responses to bids in an effort to meet sales targets.
Duties and responsibilities :
- Work with prospective customers to discover their "points of pain" and develop solutions.
- Accurately forecast sales deliverables and KPI's
- Achieve sales goals and be able to work independently
- Perform sales prospecting using consultative sales techniques to build long-standing business relationships; marketing; pricing
- Prepare and conduct heavy phone prospecting, sales presentations, virtual demonstrations, and handle contract negotiations with minimum supervision
- Identify customer needs and utilize solution-based selling techniques to fully demonstrate value of BrightView services
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with prospects and existing clients
- Build and maintain trust-based professional relationships with key decision makers
- Plan daily and hit specific activity benchmarks and close business
- Log activity consistently and reliably in CRM (Salesforce)
- Work in a fast-paced environment while operating with a high sense of urgency
- Communicate proactively with all decision makers and influencers
