Salary Range : $65,000.00 - $76,000.00

JOB SUMMARY :

The Business Development Coordinator supports the firm's day-to-day business development efforts by supporting strategic initiatives and assisting with various administrative tasks. The successful candidate will work closely with team members, lawyers and others to support business development initiatives that grow the firm and support client service excellence efforts. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work closely with and learn from senior business development professionals.

JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provide support to business development team members for efforts related to practice groups, industry groups, client teams and individual attorneys.
  • Partner with other members of the Business Development and Marketing team to ensure that marketing materials are updated regularly and that content reflects the substantive strengths, accomplishments and current activities of the firm and the various practice / industry groups.
  • Collaborate with various team members and others on projects, and support firm leadership with special projects.
  • Assist with research related to client, financial, industry and other data and assist with responding to requests for information in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate marketing tangibles for sponsorships and other external events including guest list tracking, calendaring, ads, etc.
  • Create client award nomination templates, including initial drafting and research.
  • Support firm-wide knowledge management efforts, including experience management, client data creation and business development tracking activities.
  • Provide support for recurring and special strategic initiatives for various practice groups, industry groups and client teams.
  • Attend meetings with internal and external stakeholders and assist with follow-up.
  • Support in-house client CLEs as the marketing team point of contact, coordinating with our CLE Coordinator and clients to ensure successful events, including tracking CLEs / attendees in CMS, coordinating logistics, and ensuring additional teams are contacted for support as appropriate.
  • Assist with email and other document drafting.
  • Provide backup support for team members as assigned.
  • Support business development and client events as assigned.
  • Support Intranet content creation and updates.
  • Support special projects as assigned.
  • Assist with initial bio draft creation as assigned.
  • Assist with backend mto.com bio content additions and updates, including creating new attorney bios from Word drafts.
  • Reserve conference rooms and calendar items as assigned.
  • Work with communications professionals to support thought leadership through external / third-party media placements.
  • Track, record and report on projects and feedback received.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a law firm or other professional services firm.

  • Excellent writing skills, combined with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with attorneys, professionals and peers.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills required, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
