Business Development Manager

About the Position :
The successful candidate will join a fast paced, dynamic business development team, f acilitating, conducting and supporting business development and market strategy activities across Solution One's capability portfolio, while building strong customer relationships with Department of Defense (DoD), U.S. Federal, State and commercial customers and influencers, leading Solution One Industries capture efforts in established, new, and emerging markets working in and through a cross functional team, and serving as a business development thought leader to generate Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) in excess of 10%.
Required Skills / Abilities :
- 10 years' experience with the Federal government and understanding of government contracting environment.
- Thorough understanding of DOD requirements, budgeting, and acquisition processes
- Excellent planning, organization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to successfully handle multiple concurrent priorities simultaneously; attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy; ability to thrive in dynamic, fast paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or with a team.
- Ability to work with a federal contract supporting a DoD client, especially in the handling of sensitive, confidential, or classified client information required.
- Strong Project Management skillset and the ability to adjust quickly to competing priorities.
- Fiscal acumen to understand budgets, expenditures and program / project funding.
- Strong business acumen, with proven ability in data analysis and interpretation, statistical application.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate analytics and analytical insights to executives and management.
- Ability to speak, write and read the English language.
- Outstanding consultative, critical thinking and analytic skills with ability to operate strategically and build effective partnerships across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Superior organizational skills
- Experience working commercial and government senior executives.
- Willingness to work additional hours to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to maintain a security clearance; must be US Citizen.
- Ability to obtain PMP or higher Program Management Institute-certification, CF APMP or higher Association of Proposal Management Professionals-certification.
