Job description

Advance Services is seeking a Business Development Representative for one of our Omaha-based clients. This role is dedicated to increasing sales and expanding market share by developing relationships with both existing and potential customers within an assigned territory. The ideal candidate is a quick learner with a mechanical mindset and a foundational understanding of the sales process, including relationship-building and closing deals. While this position is based in Omaha, occasional overnight travel is required for customer visits, prospect meetings, conferences, and trade shows.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities by promoting core stock products and manufacturing capabilities to both current and potential clients.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive brand loyalty and long-term partnerships.
  • Deliver product training and sales presentations as needed to educate and engage clients.
  • Analyze lost business and customer concerns, working with internal teams to improve products, services, or processes based on findings.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan for the assigned territory to maximize growth opportunities.
  • Provide support to the customer service team when necessary.
  • Travel as required for client meetings, industry events, and trade shows.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications :

  • Previous sales experience (preferred but not required).
  • Mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn technical concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office (preferred).
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Education Requirements :

  • High school diploma or GED required. (Some college coursework or a degree is preferred.)
