Healthcare Business Development & Strategic Partnerships
Part-Time | Frisco, TX | Field-Based
Schedule: 25 hours/week, highly flexible
Compensation: $27-28 hour base, plus performance milestone bonuses tied to firm engagement benchmarks (structure detailed at offer stage)
About the Opportunity
We are a Frisco-based boutique professional services firm serving the healthcare industry, with established media presence, industry recognition, and a strong digital marketing engine already in place. This role is not about building visibility from scratch, it’s about expanding our network of trust-based relationships within the DFW healthcare community.
Honestly, this is a straightforward job for the right person. If you’re smart, organized, and genuinely good with people and you actually follow through on what you say you’ll do, you will get meetings, build relationships, and do this role well. That’s it.
We are looking for someone who is organized, smart, persistent, and great with people, a polished professional who can open doors, follow through with discipline, and build long-term strategic partnerships with healthcare business leaders.
This is an ideal role for someone who loves building relationships but wants flexibility in scheduling a seasoned professional who has built a career on connection and trust, still has the energy and network to make things happen, and wants meaningful work without the demands of a full-time role.
This is not an administrative, marketing, or PR role. It is a field-based business development position centered on networking, referral development, meeting generation, and strategic follow-through.
The Rhythm of the Role
This is not a job where every task happens every day. Some days are heavy on in-person drop-offs. Other days are research and list-building. Other days are networking events or event planning. The right person knows how to look at the week, prioritize what matters most, and use their hours smoothly across the mix of activities — without needing someone to hand them a daily checklist.
Core Responsibilities
1. In-Person Drop-Offs & Outreach
Conduct in-person drop-offs and outreach to healthcare business owners and organizations throughout DFW.
2. Strategic Referral Relationships
Build referral relationships with CPAs, bankers, consultants, and healthcare-adjacent professionals.
3. Networking Presence
Attend healthcare and local business networking events to develop visibility and meaningful connections.
4. Curate & Target Organization Lists
Curate and target a list of organizations for strategic outreach, and manage organized, persistent, and aggressive follow-up against that list.
5. Event Coordination
Help coordinate educational events, mixers, and workshops that strengthen firm visibility and relationships within the healthcare community.
6. Speaking Opportunity Development
Assist with identifying and securing speaking opportunities for firm leadership.
Key Characteristics
1. Good With People
Warm, personable, and naturally engaging. You make people feel comfortable and build rapport easily.
2. Has the Ability and Desire to Connect With People
You have both the natural skill and the genuine drive to walk into a room, start conversations, and turn strangers into trusted contacts. This isn’t something you have to push yourself to do — it’s something you’re wired for and want to do.
3. Smart
You think strategically about who to target, how to position, and where the real opportunities are. You read situations well and adjust your approach accordingly.
4. Persistent
You don’t get discouraged by slow cycles, unreturned calls, or long ramp times. You keep showing up and following up until relationships take root.
5. Organized
You keep spreadsheets of the dates and times you met people, when, and what the outreach looked like. You don’t lose people, and you don’t lose details.
6. Smooth Time Manager
You can look at a week with multiple types of work — outreach, research, events, follow-up — and structure your days to get the right things done without needing to be told what to do hour by hour.
7. Dependable
You take this work seriously, you keep your deadlines, and you show up on time. When you say you’ll do something by a certain time, it gets done.
8. Great at Research
You know how to dig — identifying the right organizations, the right decision-makers, the right introductions, and the right angles for outreach.
Experience
3+ years in business development, strategic partnerships, physician relations, healthcare outreach, medical device or pharmaceutical sales, professional services development, commercial banking, or other relationship-driven industries.
Comfortable interacting directly with physicians, practice owners, healthcare executives, and senior business stakeholders. This is not an entry-level role.
What Success Looks Like
The formula here is simple: be organized, follow through on what you say you’ll do, and meetings will come. Build trusted referral relationships in the DFW healthcare community, increase firm visibility, and serve as a valuable connector between healthcare leaders and our organization.
Growth & Long-Term Opportunity
This role begins as a hands-on execution position focused on expanding our healthcare relationship network throughout Texas. For the right person, it offers significant long-term growth potential — including the ability to help build, develop, and eventually lead a larger business development and strategic partnerships function as the firm scales.
The Bottom Line
This is a relationship-driven role for someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people, building trust, opening doors, and driving meaningful business growth through strategic partnerships and professional networking.
If you’re a seasoned professional who wants flexible, meaningful work with strong earning potential — and you love the art of building real relationships — we’d love to hear from you.
