Hudson Regional Hospital is looking for a data analyst because they generate a lot of data from various sources. This data holds valuable insights on everything from individual surgeon performance to department efficiency. A data analyst can turn this raw information into actionable reports and visualizations that will help the hospital improve patient care, reduce costs, and make better strategic decisions.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring that analyses and reports provide detailed, specific data regarding performance of individuals, teams, programs, divisions, and the department.
- Generating reports from a variety of internal and external sources including benchmarking databases e.g. PHIS, PACT, specialty specific registries.
- Providing analyses and reports of performance indicators, providing trended data using statistical process control or other appropriate epidemiological techniques.
- Maintaining sufficient knowledge of biostatistical techniques to ensure effective collaboration with biostatisticians and epidemiologists regarding appropriate data analysis.
- Performs in-depth data analysis and insight generation including data entry, data collection, data-mining and report creation in support of various hospital departments, physicians, and outside organizations.
- Works with end users to gather and understand reporting / data requirements and delivers reporting / data requests in a timely fashion
- Maintain liaison with all levels of administration, physicians and outside organizations to coordinate and improve operations, accomplish directives and to facilitate the resolution of problems. Develop appropriate employee and management communication plans and necessary updates. Develop a working relationship with all key stakeholders and leverage communication skills to drive the project.
- Ensures all reporting solutions and data requests are validated and quality assurance tested by peers and end users, including developing and maintaining detailed data quality assurance documents.
- Participate in all department activities and training as it pertains to tools and methodology. Assists in developing presentations as appropriate for leadership.
- Demonstrates proficiency in Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau and uses them to implement reporting and dashboarding solutions.
- Collaborating with clinical and administrative staff to ensure that reports are timely, accurate, meaningful, and interpretable.
