Business Relationship Manager/Strategic Business Lead

Kiewit is seeking a Business Relationship Manager / Strategic Business Lead to serve as a trusted partner to leadership across our districts performing engineering, construction, and delivery in our power market. This role is responsible for aligning district business goals with enterprise capabilities, ensuring investments, initiatives, and shared services deliver measurable value across the project lifecycle. This position acts as the primary and strategic interface with district leadership to develop solutions to business challenges through technical, data-driven solutions. Value is captured by coordinating expedient solution delivery in support of Kiewit's construction-led, decentralized operating model through internal technology acceleration groups or other means as necessary.

Kiewit's power market specializes in delivering complex engineering, procurement, and construction solutions for power generation, transmission, distribution, and renewable energy projects across North America. Our teams combine self-perform construction expertise with integrated engineering capabilities to safely deliver reliable and sustainable infrastructure.

This position is based out of Kiewit's Lenexa, Kansas office and will require travel within North America up to 30% of the time to support district office and project site needs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary business relationship partner for assigned Power Engineering, Construction, and Delivery districts.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with district leadership to understand strategic priorities, operational challenges, and growth objectives.
  • Translate district goals into prioritized initiatives based on business value and requirements.
  • Lead structured intake processes for cross-functional initiatives requiring technical solutions to be built or otherwise acquired.
  • Facilitate prioritization of work based on business value, risk, resource availability, and timing.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with technology acceleration groups to drive aligned execution and support successful delivery.
  • Monitor initiative progress, proactively manage risks, and ensure outcomes meet agreed success measures.
  • Support change management efforts by effectively communicating strategy, intent, and value to stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise updates and recommendations to district and senior leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve consistency, efficiency, and value delivery across multiple districts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in business relationship management, strategic planning, operations, or enterprise technology or business support roles.
  • Experience supporting large-scale construction, engineering, energy, or infrastructure organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leaders and influence outcomes without direct authority.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
