Job Title
CPI Electron Device Business is seeking an energetic, agile, highly motivated, and customer focused individual to join our team.
Your Day To Day
The Buyer is responsible for quoting, negotiating pricing and purchasing inventory and materials in support of CPI EDB needs. Work independently with close supervision.
You Will Be Accountable For
- Serving as primary liaison between CPI EDB and our suppliers.
- Creating and maintaining purchase orders.
- Pulling all documentation and sending out quote requests to suppliers.
- Evaluating supplier quotes and awarding accordingly.
- Working with Planning to disposition Excess and Obsolete material.
- Assisting Accounts Payables to resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Escalating supplier related issues in a prompt manner.
- Helping resolve issues and answer questions from other CPI EDB employees.
- Performing other duties as needed and assigned.
You Are The Right Person For This Job If You Have
- Associate or bachelor's degree and/or APICS certification preferred.
- Minimum 2 to 4 years' experience as a Buyer within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of Government contractor purchasing requirements DFAR/FAR.
- Knowledge of ERP and/or MRP systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with focus on Microsoft Excel required.
- Working knowledge of item attributes and their effects on MRP.
- Ability to present possible solutions when notifying management of an issue.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- In-depth knowledge/understanding of Government contractor purchasing requirements.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
- Experience assisting with negotiations and ability to obtain mutually beneficial collaborative win win solutions.
- This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a "U.S. Person" as defined under ITAR and EAR.
Salary Range: $26.92 - $35.78 / hour
