The Buyer will be responsible for purchasing products and materials necessary for a company's operations. This includes maintaining relationships with vendors, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry and purchasing skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
What you will do
Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and products
Negotiate prices and contracts with vendors to ensure competitive pricing
Create and maintain purchase orders and contracts
Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed
Maintain relationships with vendors and resolve any issues or discrepancies
Ensure timely delivery of goods and materials
Enter data accurately and efficiently into purchasing systems
Adhere to company policies and procedures, including purchasing policies
Communicate effectively with other departments to understand their purchasing needs
Prioritize and manage multiple purchase orders and projects simultaneously
What you will need
High school diploma
2+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement
Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Understanding of purchasing policies and procedures
Proficient in computer skills and experience with online purchasing systems
Ability to negotiate and maintain relationships with vendors
