In partnership with a longstanding, top client of ours, we are looking for a Buyer to perform procurement related activities. The Buyer will work under the Director of Procurement and will assist in areas such as purchasing, negotiating, managing relationships while adhering to company policies and local laws.

Responsibilities
Approving purchase orders and requisitions for select commodities
Responsible for complex, company-wide bids and purchases
Lead the bid scope meetings or construction walk-throughs
Take the lead on QBR's with key suppliers
Negotiating with suppliers regarding pricing and other factors and select suppliers that are the best fit given present and future business needs
Manage relationships with suppliers
Gather and interpret data using advanced ERP knowledge
Financial analysis and reconciliation of any discrepancies
Ensure all procurement related pricing is accurate and reasonable given budgeting restrictions and other associated costs
Collaborate with legal / contracts department to ensure that internal needs are being met under reasonable terms
Facilitate return of materials that are not needed
Keep up to date with new and changing products, suppliers, trends, prices, and other market trends
Other responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
Must have 5+ years of experience in procurement in construction / facilities or engineering industry
Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, supply chain management, or a related field is highly preferred
Strong knowledge of ERP systems
Ability to perform financial analysis and cost comparisons
Experience with negotiations and drafting contracts
Proven track record of implementing procedural changes to improve processes
Compensation and Benefits
95,000-$125,000 annually, based on years of experience
