Location : Lexington, Kentucky (Hybrid Work Schedule)

Salary Range : $87,000 - $92,000

Position Summary

USHJA is seeking a talented Applications Developer with 2-4 years of experience to join our dynamic team. This role involves creating high-performance, responsive web applications and managing database integration with PostgreSQL and MySQL. Ideal candidates will have a strong technical background, attention to detail, and thrive in a collaborative environment. Familiarity with PCI and PII requirements is preferred.

This position offers a hybrid work schedule , with Monday and Tuesday remote work and Wednesday through Friday based at our office in Lexington, Kentucky .

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and maintain responsive web applications using React.js.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
Optimize components for performance across web-capable devices and browsers.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
Integrate front-end components with server-side logic.
Design, develop, and optimize queries for PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Troubleshoot and debug applications for optimal performance.

Qualifications

Education : Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

Experience : 2-4 years of professional React.js development experience.

Technical Skills :

Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

Experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.

Familiarity with RESTful APIs and modern front-end build pipelines.

Strong understanding of web development processes, including design and deployment.

Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies.

Soft Skills :

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Additional Information

Work Schedule : Hybrid work environment with remote work on Mondays and Tuesdays and in-office presence in Lexington, Kentucky, Wednesday through Friday.

Hours : After-hours and weekend work may be required for special projects and events.

Physical Demands : Occasional standing, walking, and reaching; vision requirements include close, distance, and depth perception.

Work Environment : Moderate noise level.
