Job Purpose

A Core Maker is responsible for making HD and ALT radiator cores for client company.

Key Tasks, Responsibilities and Essential Accountabilities:

• Production of Radiator Core Components

• Assembly of Radiator Core Components to Work Order Specifications

• Testing of Radiator Cores

• Packaging of Radiator Cores

• Maintain good Housekeeping and Hygiene Standards

• Promotes the building of quality products by adhering to the quality guidelines as established by Client Company

• Promotes a safe work environment by adhering to all safety policies as established by the Client Company location

• Perform all duties as assigned

• Performs other duties as required for the success of Client Company

Skills and Knowledge Required:

• Able to take instruction and also work independently when needed

• A Core Maker will have the ability to build all the various types of cores built at the regional facility. That ability will include the following

  Read and understand a work order for a VT, VTH & Flat Fin core

  Measure and cut tubes

  Run all fin machines

  Assemble core on proper table or stacker

  Attach headers

  Dip core in solder pot

  Test core

  Box core

• Ability to use logic and reason in dealing with problems

• Ability to read and understand work orders

• Ability to use and read a tape measure and other measuring tools

• Ability to work on a variety of machines to produce the company's products

• Ability to use basic hand tools

Ability to be persistent when accomplishing a task or assignment

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time

• Ability to perform a repetitive motion for extended periods of time

• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a variety of core making equipment

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move items up to 200 lbs with the use of a hand truck or pallet jack

Licensing or Other Special Requirements:

• Forklift certification preferred

Education and Experience Required:

• Requires a High School diploma or equivalent
