This company is headquartered in Raleigh but has offices in Charleston, Charlotte, Myrtle Beach, and Florence. They provide a range of services including Structured Cabling, Cellular Enhancement, A / V, and Data Center services and we have placed at least a dozen people with them in the past.
Charleston- They do a lot of work with the Trident Regional Hospital system (new construction and existing builds). They are building a new behavioral health hospital- installing fiber, cat5, WIFI, and cameras (currently have 300 camera install project). There is also a new construction building going up at The Citadel where they are installing new low-voltage cabling. Local private schools working on their athletic facilities installing new cabling there.
Hours : We work toward a quality standard, not a time. That being said, hours are generally 4 10s (Monday-Thursday) or 5 8 (Monday-Friday)'s but will depend on the specific crew / project our tech is assigned to. If they are traveling chances are they will work 4 10s to give them enough time to get home on Friday. Overtime will be available sometimes depending on the job, when it needs to be completed, etc.
They give out t-shirts and a couple of collared shirts. No rips or sagging pants, no holes in shoes.
There is no formal training provided for this role. There may be some direction given about specific ways they like things done but techs should have enough experience coming into this role that they know what to do on the job site.
