Arrowhead Winch engineers and manufactures industrial winch, hoist and drive systems under the BRADEN, CARCO and Gearmatic brand names in Broken Arrow and Okmulgee, Oklahoma. The Design Engineer will be responsible for supporting engineering design, development, and production support of Arrowhead Winch product lines that include winch, hoist and drive units. Essential Functions / Responsibilities :
- Support the design of gear set and hydraulic components for complete projects of varying magnitude and scope.
- Coordinate and complete design efforts with other groups and departments within the company.
- Apply engineering techniques gained through study or experience, frequently requiring independent evaluation.
- Conduct necessary research incidental to design.
- Complete design and manufacturing process changes from planning, calculation, and design analysis, design, testing, evaluation and implementation necessary for successful project completion.
- Identify, prioritize, and coordinate resolution of production, production control, and Quality Assurance issues as appropriate.
- Develop, maintain, and present project metrics : cost capital, performance, milestones / timeline as directed.
- Utilizes Creo and Windchill as the CAD and data management system.
- Utilize and maintain Six Sigma, DFSS and Lean tools throughout the design and validation process.
