We are hiring a Drafter to work out of our San Jose office or San Diego offices!

We are hiring a Drafter to work out of our San Jose or San Diego offices with strong technical abilities, interest in land development and / or transportation civil engineering, and a strong desire to learn and grow professionally. Assignments include working with a team of engineers to assist in the preliminary and final engineering stages. Such tasks could include; drafting various surveying maps, plans, exhibits and digital data files using the appropriate CAD software.

Responsibilities :

• Working with a team of engineers to assist in the preliminary engineering stages.
• Prepare improvement plans, site plans, utility plans, grading plans, drainage plans, stormwater treatment plans, tentative maps, and other drawings and exhibits as directed.
• Update drawings and CAD files, as directed by the Engineers to keep them current. Responsible for daily backup of CAD drawings.
• Work with standard CAD specifications, and formats that are required by various private firms and government agencies. Enlarge or reduce drawings to fit a specific scale.
• Help maintain the CAD drawing file project directory.
