Job descriptionHigh school diploma or technical school training with coursework in computer-aided drafting, or equivalent experience. 12+ years of experience as an expert drafter, designer, and computer technician. Proficiency in the latest versions of AutoCAD and MicroStation. Strong technical knowledge of CAD operations and relevant engineering disciplines. Extensive expertise in advanced applications of system hardware and software. Experience in project scheduling, personnel management, and work production techniques. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues. Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships. Flexibility to adapt to changes in work assignments on short notice based on project requirements.
General Responsibilities :
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, oversee quality control, and supervise subordinates to ensure timely delivery of drawings to engineers.
- Train new operators and provide ongoing training to subordinate computer technicians.
- Review completed construction drawings for accuracy and compliance with standards and regulations.
- Develop productivity tools to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with IT to ensure company hardware and software remain up to date for optimal CAD operations.
