Position Overview :

As a Senior CAD Drafter , you will play a critical role in producing high-quality OSP construction drawings for the telecommunications and cable industries. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams, field inspectors, and customers to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of design drawings. This position requires advanced proficiency in CAD software, leadership qualities, and the ability to work independently, while overseeing and mentoring junior drafters to maintain high standards of design and accuracy. The Senior CAD Drafter will be expected to handle complex, multi-faceted projects, take ownership of design integrity, and provide expert input into project specifications and requirements. Essential Job Functions :

• Lead the development of detailed Carrier and cable industry OSP construction drawings, ensuring they meet customer expectations and project specifications.
• Review and approve drawings for accuracy and completeness, making necessary revisions as required.
• Act as a subject matter expert on CAD drafting, collaborating with engineering teams to translate design concepts into precise and reliable drawings.
• Mentor and guide junior CAD drafters, providing technical leadership and ensuring adherence to industry standards and company protocols.
• Interface with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify project details, and ensure designs align with customer needs.
• Analyze and resolve design challenges, leveraging creativity, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills to address complex or unique situations.
• Oversee and manage multiple drafting projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within project timelines and budget constraints.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, software advancements, and best practices to continuously improve CAD drafting processes.
• Provide input into the development of internal standards, methodologies, and procedures to optimize design efficiency and quality.
• Produce permit drawings and coordinate with various regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
