Job Summary

Join Compass Group USA as a Cafe Manager and coordinate our dynamic team in the bustling city of Chicago, IL! This is an outstanding opportunity to showcase your ambition and skills in a premier environment, where you will lead all aspects of the daily operations of our cafe. With operating hours from Monday to Friday, 6am to 4 : 30pm, this role offers the perfect balance for someone looking to take their first step into management. You will coordinate ordering, inventory, and weekly reporting, while also working as a barista alongside your team of outstanding hourly associates.

Key Responsibilities :

Leads cafe operations and ensures outstanding service to our guests

Hires, supervises, trains, and coaches associates

Ensures compliance with appropriate sanitation and cleaning standards

Operates within the budget

Performs other duties, as assigned

Develops and implements creative marketing strategies to promote special events

Qualifications :

At least 1-3 years of coffee shop / cafe experience

A desire to lead and grow your professional career in the hospitality industry

Operational knowledge of cash handling procedures, food service equipment, and sanitation regulations

Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet

ServSafe or Department of Health Certification is preferred
