Job description

At The Outlook at Windhaven, hospitality is more than a service—it is the foundation of how we care for one another. Our luxury senior living community in Plano, TX, is dedicated to creating an environment where residents feel welcomed, valued, connected, and supported in every aspect of life. As part of the Forefront Living family, we are committed to making every moment matter.


Join our culinary team and help create an exceptional dining experience for our residents and guests. As a Server, you'll provide attentive, restaurant-style service in a gourmet dining environment, ensuring every meal is served with warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail. You'll play an important role in setting up and maintaining an inviting dining room, supporting special events, upholding food safety and cleanliness standards, and working collaboratively with the kitchen and service teams to deliver outstanding hospitality every day.


We are seeking a part-time teammate that is available to be on call for replacement shifts and special events.


**Final compensation within the listed pay range will be based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, and will align with our established pay scale.**


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Provide food and beverage service in dining room
  2. Serve residents and guests in A la Carte, full-service atmosphere with attention to detail and hospitality
  3. Models a service and solutions-oriented attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better
  4. Friendly and courteous to residents, patients and co-workers
  5. Ensure resident/patient, visitor, self and co-worker safety by remaining aware of and reporting any new or existing safety hazards
  6. Maintain good attendance record; arrive to work timely and conform to scheduled work hours
  7. Wear appropriate and assigned protective gear, i.e. apron, hair net, mask
  8. Ability to follow opening and closing procedures including workstations
  9. Clean and/or pull dishes from dish room to dining area
  10. Complete daily cleaning according to schedule or Supervisor’s instructions
  11. Assists with any special events as assigned
  12. Reset tables to specifications with clean pressed linen
  13. Fold and sort silverware and napkins for dining room
  14. Set-up hot buffet/salad bar/desserts/beverages/service side stations and take temperatures of food before service, clean appropriately at the end of service
  15. Assumes other responsibilities as assigned


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school graduate or GED
  2. 6 months - 1 year in A la Carte & Food Service Industry experience required
  3. Experience in customer service, is preferred
  4. Food Handlers card preferred but not required
  5. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
  6. Ability to be patient and gracious with residents
