Pay : $1,070 / week
Dates : May 15, 2025 - August 5, 2025
Do you want to spend a paid summer in Alaska? Join us at Camp K for fun at one of Alaska's most beautiful sleep away camps in Cooper Landing. Just two hours South of Anchorage, our camp is located on the beautiful Kenai Peninsula. No outdoor experience is required, just a love for camp! If you want to build an inclusive and loving community at our camp, this is a perfect job for you! Housing and meals are included for the entire season.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
- Program : Camp K is an ACA Accredited Summer Residential Youth Co-ed Camp.
- Location : Camp K is located in Copper Landing, AK on Kenai Lake.
- Dates : All Staff training begins mid-May. Camp opens to youth in early June and runs through July.
- Time : Camp K offers 5 day sessions throughout the summer.
- Staff Shifts : Camp K staff reside on camp premises during all camp sessions. There is personal time between sessions to enjoy the beautiful Alaska Summer.
- Activities : While at Camp K youth are provided hiking, boating activities, outdoor games, creative arts, target sports, outdoor living skills and team building.
POSITION SUMMARY :
The Camp Nurse will oversee and manage the healthcare needs of Camp K participants and staff while living on the camp premises. A typical day in this position will include reviewing health histories, dispensing medications, respond to first aid needs, mental health needs of campers and staff, developing a stocking system for medical supplies, administrative duties, communication with guests and staff, develop and lead staff training on camp health and safety issues, adhere to American Camp Association standards and Camp Fire Alaska policies. Engage in work that supports Camp Fires Promise to provide youth with the opportunity to find their spark, lift their voice and discover who they are.
