Prior experience working with a variety of construction equipment is a plus. Exceptional phone skills and customer service skills. Highly competent computer and typing skills (Microsoft Office). Excel in a fast-paced, highly urgent environment. The ability to calculate figures to close the sale quickly, for example, on a phone call. The desire to learn about new equipment and systems. Rental Coordinator
Rocrents Equipment Sales and Rental is a construction equipment rental company in Webster, NY. We offer a comprehensive selection of heavy machinery rentals, ranging from mini excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, and skid steers to aerial lifts, attenuator trucks, and water trucks.
Our clients span the construction, general contracting, infrastructure and real estate development, utility, landscaping and excavation, snow removal, and agriculture industries. No matter the industry, our heavy equipment rental solutions support our clients' projects through exceptional customer service and a well-maintained fleet.
The Rental Coordinator will be responsible for various functions, including raising rental contracts, managing equipment logistics, and providing customer service.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities :
- Act as the front-line contact by warmly greeting the customer. Both by phone and walk-in.
- Prepare rental contracts and ensure all proper documentation, such as credit apps and insurance coverage, is obtained before renting the equipment.
- Establish and maintain a professional relationship with all customers.
- Quote rental rates during the phone conversation (i.e., one call resolution).
- Product expert and consultant to the customers - communicate effectively with customers to understand their equipment needs and requirements.
- Coordinate and schedule rentals, ensuring timely delivery and pickup of equipment.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to the rental process.
- Handle small equipment and tool sales for walk-in customers as needed.
- Accountable for managing the equipment rental guidelines and policies.
- Support and act as a liaison to the outside sales force, directing their leads their way if needed.
- Inspect equipment to ensure it is in good working condition before and after rentals.
- Manage inventory of rental equipment, keeping accurate records and ensuring availability.
- Organize transport of equipment, arranging logistics for delivery and pickup.
- Track equipment usage and schedule routine maintenance to keep equipment in optimal condition.
- Ensure compliance with rental procedures and company policies.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for equipment repairs and routine checks.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
