Overview

Purpose Statement / Position Summary : Echocardiograph Tech / Cardiac Sonographer provides direct patient care to include Congenital ECHO, Two-dimensional ECHO, Fetal Echo, Three dimensional ECHO, M-mode, Doppler, and Color Flow Imaging, EKGs, Event Monitoring. Training other medical staff. Knowledge of digital systems and capable of preparing preliminary reports. Collaborates with other health care team members in the delivery of health care. Consistently demonstrates commitment to a patient and family focused model of care.

Minimum Qualifications / Work Experience : Cardiac Sonographer experience preferred, pediatric and / or fetal echo experience preferred. Demonstrated organizational skills. The position will require travel to our various locations : Los Angeles, Arcadia, and Torrance. Additional requirements : This position requires training in Fetal Echocardiography approximately 1 year after hire for those without prior fetal echo experience and rotating fetal echo scanning. Sonographers also participate in research echocardiograms and in training cardiology fellows, other physicians and students as needed.

Education / Licensure / Certifications : A.S Degree or equivalent in Cardiovascular Technology. Current AHA CPR / BLS certification Current ARDMS Registry.

Travel : This position will participate in covering several CHLA Cardiology Clinic locations including Los Angeles, Arcadia, and Torrance

Hours : Monday - Friday Day shifts

Pay Scale Information

89,440.00-$154,284.00

Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
