POSITION SUMMARY / RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in the development, implementation, evaluation and coordination of all aspects of point-of-care testing performed by non-laboratory staff, and regulatory compliance in the clinical laboratories. Maintains, monitors and supports the achievement of effective quality programs to guarantee safe and efficacious quality laboratory testing utilizing good laboratory practices and good manufacturing practices.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor's degree in medical technology or an appropriate biological medical science is required. You may substitute a Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical laboratory testing. Must have successfully completed a structured clinical program (CAHEA approved). A minimum of two years' experience in laboratory testing is required. Experience with advanced computer skills required (Access, Excel and other spreadsheets and Microsoft applications).
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION
Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or National Certification Agency (NCA) or equivalent is required.
