Pay Grade : Temporary Worker
Pay Rate : $10.00 per hour
Qualifications :
Minimum Age Requirement : 16 years old
Ability to successfully complete an accredited food handler's training course and certification test upon hire
Ability to take directions from supervisor
Must be safety conscious and should have a conviction for any safety concerns
Ability to understand and adjust to changing situations in surroundings that may be physically uncomfortable, i.e. hot, cold, noisy
Ability to work collaboratively with others
Ability to maintain emotional stability
Primary Purpose :
Provide excellent customer service while preparing and serving safe food and snacks.
Major Duties and Responsibilities :
- Comply with policies and procedures of the Federal and State Governments, KISD Board of Education and KISD Nutrition and Food Service Department
- Serve food, beverages or snacks to customers in a very fast-paced environment using departmental procedures
- Report on scheduled days to assigned location at scheduled time.
- Demonstrate willingness to work where needed and assists others.
- Operate kitchen tools and equipment according to prescribed safety standards.
- Perform all clean-up responsibilities as assigned.
- Stock and restock items as necessary.
- Maintain personal appearance and hygiene and correct uniform including slip resistant shoes.
- Report an accident immediately to the manager and complete an accident form.
- Assume additional duties as assigned.
Equipment Used :
Large and small kitchen equipment including : reach in warmers, walk in freezer and cooler, cold beverage machines, hot food merchandiser and utility cart.
Working Conditions :
Continual standing, walking, pushing, and pulling; moderate lifting (up to 25 pounds) and carrying; frequent stooping, bending, and kneeling; moderate exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
