As a Direct Care Worker I, you will provide programmatic direct care services and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Your role is pivotal in creating an environment that meets the participants' daily living needs and fosters skills necessary for community life.
Key Responsibilities :
Support individuals by aiding in developing and implementing habilitative, behavioral, and recreational programs according to their Individual Service Plan (ISP) objectives.
Coordinate with supervisors to ensure successful ISP implementation, appropriate methodology, service coordination, and crisis intervention.
Assist with activities of daily living, including household maintenance, self-care and hygiene, food shopping and preparation, budgeting, leisure activities, and socialization skill development.
Attend review meetings and accompany individuals to appointments; transport them to work, recreational activities, and other commitments as necessary.
Maintain confidentiality and individuals' records; ensure their human rights are preserved by adhering to applicable laws and regulations.

Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain respectful, caring, tolerant, ethical, and empowering relationships with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Ability to assist / lift individuals with physical disabilities and limited mobility.
Proficiency in reading, transcribing, and comprehending the English language.
Agency Requirements :
Must possess a current and valid Class D motor vehicle operator's license.
Upon completing a training program, incumbents must obtain and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid (FA) certifications.
