Job description
A company is looking for a Financial Counselor - Adult Outpatient Pavilion - Remote.
Key Responsibilities
Register patients by securing accurate patient and insurance information, validating eligibility, and collecting co-payments
Assess patient financial responsibility, provide benefit education, and assist in securing financial assistance
Accept patient payments, reconcile accounts, and perform back-up duties for financial counseling as needed
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
Minimum of two years of experience in customer service with a patient-centered focus
Experience with computers and Microsoft Office software is required
Previous experience in a healthcare setting and knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
