Were looking for a motivated and experienced Director of Catering to drive revenue growth and elevate event experiences at Delta Chesapeake. This role is perfect for someone with at least 5 years in catering sales and event management who thrives on driving revenue, creating memorable guest experiences, and leading a team to success . Youll be responsible for developing strategic sales initiatives, managing key client relationships, and ensuring flawless execution of events. With a focus on collaboration across departments, youll play a key role in elevating our catering services while fostering growth and profitability. Position Overview
The Director of Catering at Delta Chesapeake is responsible for leading the catering sales efforts, developing and executing strategic plans, and ensuring the successful planning and execution of all banquet functions. This position plays a critical role in driving revenue growth, enhancing guest experiences, and fostering strong relationships with clients and vendors. The Director of Catering will work closely with the culinary, banquet, sales, and operations teams to ensure seamless event execution and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute a catering sales strategy to increase revenue and maximize profitability.
- Proactively solicit new business and maintain relationships with existing clients to secure repeat business.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to position Delta Chesapeakes catering service effectively.
- Utilize a proactive sales approach to penetrate key market segments, including corporate, social, and wedding events.
- Implement creative sales strategies to attract new business and expand market share.
- Work with the sales and marketing teams to develop promotional materials, pricing strategies, and sales campaigns.
