PER HOUR
GENERAL PURPOSE :
The purpose of this position is to maintain quality standards and product levels of all chef-prepared products in the kitchen, in addition to educating and training other chefs and prep cooks. This person will be preparing and packaging salads, entrees, soups, and hot case items, receiving and stocking product, determining production and inventory levels, and providing exceptional customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
- Ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services the kitchen provides
- Responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the kitchen
- Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items
- Ensures the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearance
- Delivers excellent customer service to all customers
- Prepares all chef-prepared items in the kitchen including salads, entrees, soups, hot case items, etc. following Harmons’ recipes
- Prepares food for special orders and events
- Receiving and stocking of product
- Trains chefs and prep cooks
- Writing production sheets based on department needs and past and projected sales
- Responsible for inventory and ordering product for the kitchen
- Provides honest, direct, and constant feedback to associates regarding their performance and areas of improvement
- Assists as needed to ensure the success of the kitchen as a whole
MARGINIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities :
A high school diploma or GED preferred; two-year college or technical school degree preferred; one year of kitchen experience preferred; or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities :
