Description : Essential Functions

Work Focus : Responsible for the daily operations & the oversight of staff. Supervisors work in collaboration with department managers to manage staff & department effectively. Process Focus : Follows standards of performance & work processes in designated areas. Coordinates staff scheduling & assignment. Reviews & approves administrative functions (time, payroll, expense). Functional Role (not inclusive of titles or advancement career progression)
- Monitors & ensures compliance of Food and Nutrition staff to operational standards to assure quality food service to patients, visitors and staff.
- Support colleagues with their daily duties including cooking, cleaning, and food delivery to patients.
- Manage daily production and execution of the food service operations of a senior living facility to ensure residents receive nutritious, well-balanced meals that meet regulatory dietary requirements while meeting the residences preferences.
- Supervise and support dietary staff, including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and fostering a respectful, resident-focused work culture.
- Conduct annual performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to support staff development and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., CMS, state health codes) and internal policies related to food safety, sanitation, and infection control.
- Collaborate with administration and residents with menu selections to improve dining experience, creating a home like dining experience.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation to maintain high standards of resident satisfaction and nutritional value.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control to ensure efficient use of resources while maintaining quality and compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. Certified Diet Manager. 2-3 years of experience in food service, preferably in healthcare or long-term care.
