Amprius develops, designs, and manufactures very high-performance lithium-ion cells for advanced applications. Amprius invented and perfected a 100% silicon anode which enables the highest energy density cell commercially available in the industry.
Summary
We are currently seeking a Chemical Technician with experience in wet etch processes to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding in chemical handling, Acid Waste Neutralization (AWN), wet etching techniques and has experience with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) practices. This role is critical in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our laboratory and manufacturing processes. This is a 3-month TEMP position.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute wet etching processes following stringent operational and safety protocols.
- Monitor and maintain the AWN system, including pH level checks and probe calibrations.
- Conduct AWN system spot checks using a separate pH probe to ensure accuracy. Ensure compliance with USD permit requirements for AWN operations.
- Submit timely and accurate reports to the USD detailing AWN system compliance and incidents.
- Responsible for the maintenance and operational integrity of the RO / DI water purification system, ensuring a consistent supply of high-quality water to support the wet etch and AWN equipment.
- Efficiently manage hazardous waste from satellite accumulation to the central accumulation area, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Perform thorough inspections of accumulation and chemical storage areas.
- Maintain detailed logs of hazardous waste management activities.
- Oversee the chemical inventory for the wet etch process, ensuring the availability of necessary supplies and avoiding shortages.
- Accurately label, store, and handle chemicals according to established EHS standards.
