Impact Solutions, IncPhiladelphia, PA, USChemical Process Engineer Southern Philadelphia / New Jersey Overview : This opportunity is with a chemical manufacturer and distributor located about an hour south of downtown Philadelphia and an hour east of Wilmington, Delaware. This is a medium-sized facility that uses distillation, filtration, and drying as their main manufacturing processes. Their growing business is expanding with a new building. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who wants to challenge themselves and wear multiple hats. You will focus on improving process efficiency, supervising a group of 5-10 operators, troubleshooting issues, ensuring safety protocols, and working on small projects. You will be mentored by the veteran chemical engineer at the plant, having the opportunity to further strengthen your engineering skills, gain valuable leadership skills, and move into more managerial-focused responsibilities in the future. This is a typical day schedule with flexible hours that will allow for maintaining a work-life balance and not working more than typically 40-45 hours. This is a close-knit team with this role reporting directly to the Plant Manager. Minimum Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
- 2+ years of in-plant chemical manufacturing experience with exposure to distillation processes
- Previous supervision or leadership experience is ideal, but not required
- Experience with safety initiatives such as PHAs, MOCs, and PSM are all pluses
