Overview

The Lab Technician provides support to the quality department by inspecting products at various stages of the manufacturing process. Ensures that products comply with customer requirements.

Responsibilities

Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or standards to inspect product throughout manufacturing processes to determine if it is fit for conformance or customer requirements. This can include dimensional, attribute, performance, mechanical , or chemical characteristics.

  • Support s calibration of tools and gages as required .
  • Utilize s various types of measurement equipment required to evaluate product conformance (calipers, micrometers, gage pins, thread gages, etc. ) .
  • Leads and / or supports gage R&R or related measurement system analysis activities as required .
  • Assist s with identifying and correcting quality issues.
  • Assist s in coordinating assigned quality assurance processes throughout all manufacturing operations.
  • Perform s first-piece inspections to requirements.
  • Perform s layered process audits and internal audits as scheduled.
  • Perform s dimensional layouts as required .
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
