COMPANY OVERVIEW
Holcim is planning to spin-off its North American Business to unleash its full potential, capitalizing on North America's oversized growth in construction led by the modernization of infrastructure, a surge in advanced manufacturing and AI operation and the growth of resilient cities.
Holcim plans to list the new company on the NYSE by the end of the first half of 2025 and establish its operations headquarters in the US to be fully dedicated to serving the North American market and pursue a growth strategy across the region.
The newly listed company will become North America's leading building solutions company, with industry-leading market position to meet its customers' greatest ambitions with the most advanced building solutions from foundation to rooftop.
Description : ABOUT THE ROLE
The responsibility of this position is the hands-on operation of the terminal equipment and daily operating functions of the terminal as so directed by terminal management.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Exercise and encourage core values including but not limited to; developing self and coaching others by inspiration and empowerment.
- Terminal Operators need the ability to communicate with Terminal Managers, customers, sales personnel, trucking firms and suppliers.
- Maintain grounds, offices, warehouse, yard, etc.
- Carry out tasks related to loading / unloading material, both bulk and bagged, waterway and road methods of transportation, as appropriate for the specific location.
- Operate and conduct general maintenance on mobile equipment and assist with general mechanical maintenance.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required Education : High School diploma / GED
Required Work Experience : 1-3 years
Required Computer and Software Skills : Basic Knowledge about computers, Microsoft programs, and SAP preferred
