JOB DESCRIPTION :
The person in this role will support the Chemical Management Office objectives of the Chemical Regulation / Legislation “antenna” function.
Key Responsibilities
Surveil, Analyze, and summarize critical material or chemical substance-related regulation and legislative activity, with particular focus on non-U.S. related themes.
Coordinate the surveillance and broadcast of critical material or chemical substance-related legislation and regulation to the business
Examples :
Create and distribute “alerts” to key internal stakeholders.
Input regulatory / legislative summaries into internal company software.
Using various tools, coordinate the tracking of substances being pursued by local and global regulatory or legislative bodies throughout the regulatory / legislative timeline.
Potential future collaboration with other clients' global affiliates
Occasional special advocacy or compliance projects may be requested, depending on available time.
Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience working with consumer products industries, especially complex durable goods industries.
Working knowledge and understanding of global material or chemical substance regulations and legislations which may impact the auto industry.
Demonstrated analytical and reporting skills, such as issuance of reports to communicate technical matters to stakeholders.
Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Notes :
The team is responsible for managing the regulations / legislation of various chemical and substances which Client deals with while manufacturing or any similar use.
Manager is looking for candidate with the similar background who will be responsible for servile / listen to the broadcast of global regulatory activity of any chemical substance and perform advocacy for Client.
There are several state laws related to procurement and usage of chemical substances which require Client to pay relevant taxes for to the respective states. These substances are sold online by vendors and the candidate will be the representative of Client through these trading associations.
There are internal software, that is, chemical substances specific tools which the candidate will be using for communications.
Will assist where the acquired chemical substances are being used in the business.
Candidate will be working in an office environment and won’t be using any industrial / manufacturing equipment or dealing with chemicals substance by hands.
Candidate should have at least 2 years of relevant work experience and a bachelor's degree in education.
