Description :
Under the guidance of the Board of Trustees, the Executive Director leads the organization by overseeing external relations, resource development, advocacy, program management, and organizational operations to further the agency's mission. The current Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is retiring.
Compensation :
100,000-$125,000 depending on experience. This full-time exempt position begins on July 1, 2025 and is an in-office position in Provo, Utah.

Key Responsibilities :
External Affairs :
Build partnerships with nonprofits, advocacy groups, public agencies, the media, and community leaders. Serve as a spokesperson, representing the organization to external stakeholders and ensuring effective communication and media relations.
Resource Development :
Develop and execute fundraising strategies, including grants, corporate sponsorships, and individual donations. Cultivate relationships with funders and donors to meet or exceed revenue goals.
Advocacy and Public Policy :
Lead the development of advocacy strategies and public policy initiatives. Represent the organization on boards and committees to influence policy and build support for key initiatives.
Program Management :
Oversee the development and management of programs that align with the organization’s mission. Stay informed about trends in the field and ensure that programs are effective and impactful.
Resource Management :
Manage financial resources, ensuring efficient use of funds and compliance with regulatory requirements. Maintain solid financial health and ensure accurate reporting.
Personnel Management :
Supervise staff, consultants, and volunteers. Ensure effective recruitment, staff development, and adherence to workplace policies. Foster a positive work environment and ensure compliance with employment regulations.
Organizational Leadership :
Lead strategic planning, evaluation, and decision-making to ensure the organization is aligned with its goals and responsive to community needs. Maintain a clear direction for staff and stakeholders.
Board Relations :
Support and work closely with the Board, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to help them fulfill oversight responsibilities.
Requirements : Qualifications :
Familiarity with Utah and Utah Valley, including relationships with local community networks, stakeholders and governmental agencies. Knowledge of Summit and Wasatch counties is helpful.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 5 years of non-profit management / leadership experience.
Valid driver's license and operating vehicle.
Experience with Microsoft products.
Familiarity with state and federal grants, including acquisition and reporting.
Strong interpersonal relationship skills, including experience going into the community to develop and maintain relationships.
Human resource, financial, and non-profit fundraising experience helpful.
