Job Description
Qualifications :
The Boeing Company is currently seeking Entry-Level Estimators to join the growing team in Hazelwood, MO .
Our Estimators support United States Government (USG) and Foreign Military Sale (FMS) type contracts and proposal activities. This position will be responsible for a variety of estimating tasks, including estimate and cost volume preparation, proposal development, fact-finding, and negotiation support. These specialists will coordinate with different functions to dissect customer requests for proposals and statements of work, and maintain communications with internal and external partners to ensure cost proposals are accurate, complete and of the highest quality.
Position Responsibilities :
Develop cost estimates for technical requirements including design, build, and aftermarket support of Boeing platforms
Evaluate requests for proposal and statements of work
Coordinate with diverse group of internal functional teams
Substantiate cost estimates and prepare proposals for submittal to customer
Perform analyses and provide recommendations in support of pricing / estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.)
Support negotiations with a diverse set of customers
Develop and improve estimating and pricing methods
Evaluate and develop business cases
Present business solutions to preserve and expand the business
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and / or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience) :
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
1+ years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience) :
Work experience or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates your ability to contribute to our diverse team.
Bachelor's Degree in a field that encourages creative problem-solving and diverse perspectives, such as economics, engineering, mathematics, operations research, statistics, business, or a related discipline.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with a focus on collaborative and analytical tools and methods.
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines, prioritizing tasks in a way that promotes work-life balance and inclusivity.
University coursework or experience in areas such as Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, Contracts, Estimating and Pricing, Business Operations, Procurement, or Financial Analysis. We value diverse academic and professional experiences that contribute to a well-rounded team.

Typical Education & Experience :
Education / experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 4 years' related work experience).
