Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. Experience with high-end residential projects and custom design elements. Familiarity with sustainable building practices and modern construction technologies. The Senior Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for high-end custom residential projects. This role requires deep knowledge of construction methods, materials, and market pricing, as well as the ability to collaborate with architects, designers, and clients to ensure budgets align with project goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates for custom home projects from concept through final design.
- Analyze architectural plans, specifications, and other documents to determine scope and pricing.
- Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring competitive and accurate pricing.
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns for all phases of construction.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to refine budgets and value-engineer solutions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local building codes, material costs, and labor rates.
- Track and report on estimate accuracy and assist in post-project cost analysis.
- Support business development by providing preliminary budgets during the design phase.
