Job Summary / Basic Function

Perform a variety of complex office administrative and clerical duties under very limited supervision ensuring a smooth flow of operations. Requires analytical and deductive reasoning particularly when prioritizing work from several faculty members and dealing with faculty and / or student confidential material. This classification also requires a high degree of independent judgment and discretion in determining appropriate solutions to given situations. Serves as a liaison between the department chair and students faculty administration community and other agencies. Monitor and supervise the work of student and hourly employees. Must be able to organize own work set priorities and meet critical deadlines.

Required Education

High School diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) required. College experience preferred.

Required Related Experience

Three years of progressive secretarial experience. Three years of college coursework or an associates degree (two years of college coursework) and one year of related experience may be considered in lieu of experience.
